The Hand Needleloom is the result of a request to assist in the manufacture of “Soft Paintings” or pictures created by using textile fibres. The process of needling fibres has been established for many years but the machinery involved limited the finite dimensions of the painting and was also very expensive and large for use in an artistic environment. Access to production units was also difficult. |
