These are small portable units designed for educational, artistic and sampling use. They have approximately 600 needles over an area of 200 x 420mm and can operate at up to speeds of 150 strokes/minute.
They are supplied in two styles. The basic style consists of the power unit, needle board and stripper plate and is used in conjunction with an expanded polystyrene base which acts as a baseplate. The material to be punched is laid over the base and the loom moved across the fabric to produce whatever punch density is required. The second version is as above with bedplate and support plate, with the material being passed between the plates by hand.
Motive power is by compressed air for reasons of portability and as a safety measure.
The looms are made from aluminium alloy and the basic model weighs approximately 13 kgs. The needles used are normally 15 gauge but other sizes can be accommodated if specified with the order.
The machines are shipped ready for use and delivery is approximately 5 weeks from receipt of order. Further information will be given on request.
